Meeting purpose: The 2-day MISR Data Users Science Symposium provides the opportunity to showcase science results and to interact with other members of the community. The format will include oral presentations, posters, and interactive discussions. The topics of interest include multiangular radiometric, stereoscopic, and polarimetric imaging, science applications, data analysis, and modeling.
Presentations: Oral and/or poster presentations related to MISR and successor instruments are welcome. Please check the appropriate boxes on the registration form and provide approximate titles. Bring oral talks on a USB memory stick or CD-ROM in either Powerpoint or PDF format. All slides will be loaded onto a Mac for presentation, so please see Dave Diner at the meeting well in advance of your talk to have it loaded. If you have equations, PDF is recommended to avoid PC to Mac issues. Poster dimensions up to 4' x 6' are acceptable.

Location and Maps: Campus Parking Map, Interactive Campus Maps, Streets around Caltech
Parking: There is a maximum $6.00 per day charge for parking. Use the "North Wilson" structure located on Wilson Ave. just south of Del Mar Blvd. across the street from the Beckman Institute. The "South Wilson" structure is reserved for Caltech parking only.
Internet Access: Wireless internet access will be available.
Register Online: When you register online for the MISR Data Users Science Symposium, you are only registering for this meeting and not for accommodations.
Lodging: You must book your own travel and accommodations. You may download this list of local hotels. When making your reservation, please mention your attendance at a JPL-sponsored meeting to get the JPL rates.
Social Event: A dinner/social event will be held the evening of Monday, December 10 (approximately 6:30 - 9:30 pm) at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club. Dinner will be buffet style with caesar salad, chicken piccata, eggplant parmesan, penne pasta with marinara/alfredo/bolognaise sauces, steamed mixed vegetables, garlic bread, coffee/tea/decaf/iced tea, and dessert. Alcoholic beverages and sodas will be available at a cash bar. After-dinner entertainment will include a chamber music ensemble. The cost per person is $35 ($30 for students and postdocs). Guests are welcome. Please include the number in your party who will be attending the social event (including yourself) on your registration form. Please sign up for the social event by Sunday, December 2 so that we can get an accurate head count. Please note that the venue charges us according to the promised head count, so no refunds will be given except for unavoidable emergencies.
