Biography:

Dong L. Wu received the B.S. in Space Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1985, the M.S. in Physics from Louisiana State University in 1989, the M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1993, and the Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Michigan in 1994. He has been employed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory since 1995 and is currently a Principal Research Scientist in the Earth Atmospheric Sciences Section, where he is Group Supervisor of the Aerosol and Cloud Science Group. Dr. Wu's research interests include using satellites for the study of atmospheric gravity waves, clouds, and atmospheric winds. He is a recipient of the NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal and the JPL Ed Stone Award.
