Shunlin Liang
Shunlin Liang received his Ph.D degree in Remote Sensing and GIS from Boston University. He was a ostdoctoral research associate in Boston University from 1992 to 1993, and Validation Scientist of the NOAA/NASA athfinder AVHRR Land Project from 1993 to 1994. He is currently an associate professor in the University of Maryland t College Park. His present research interests focus on land surface data assimilation, land surface variable etrieval from remotely sensed data, and integration of remotely sensed products with land surface process models for rop yield estimation and studies on soil carbon sequestration and climate change. He is an associate editor of the EEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, and a member of ASTER, MISR and MODIS science teams.
