David J. Diner
David J. Diner received the B.S. degree in physics with honors from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1973 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in planetary science from the California Institute of Technology in 1977 and 1978, respectively. He has been at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory since 1978, first as a National Research Council Resident Research Associate, then as a contractor with Ball Aerospace, and since 1981 as a JPL employee. He is currently a Member of the Technical Staff and Leader of the Multi-angle Imaging Science Element in Earth and Space Sciences Division. He has been involved in numerous NASA planetary and Earth remote-sensing investigations, and is presently Principal Investigator of the EOS Multi-angle Imaging SpectroRadiometer (MISR) experiment and its airborne counterpart, AirMISR. He is a member of the American Geophysical Union.
